Rad torque multipliers combine speed and accuracy for one of the most popular torque solutions in the world. Rad torque tools are avaiable in pneumatic (air), battery and electric models to suit any industry and have a range of 150 – 8,500 FT LBS (70 – 11,500 NM) and square drives from 3/4″ – 1-1/2″ Rad nutrunners are perfect for shutdown and maintenance work.
All Rad tools come complete with a reaction arm, 3 metre hose, torque/calibration certification and a lurbo regulator, with an optional heavy duty weatherproof container to store the tool, lubro, sockets and torque charts safely. The lubro regulator connects inbetween the tool and the air supply and serves 3 main purposes. The adjustable regulator sets the PSI which controls the torque output. The lubricator hold air motor oil, and has an adjustable drip to provide oil through to the air motor. The water trap removes oil from the line.
Manufactured in Canada, Rad air tools are very popular with petrochemical, mining, power stations, pipe flanges, quarries, crushers, engineering, wheel nuts, and on caterpillar/komatsu machinery. Rad tools are not impact tools and have an adjustable torque setting, which results in 88 times less vibration than rattle guns. The torque can be set using the regulator for a final torque setting accuracy of + / – 5% with repeatability of + / – 2%.
Rad air guns work using compressed air to operate an air motor. The air motor drives the gear box which is similar to a torque multiplier with planetary gear systems, used to produce low ratios. Once the target pressure has been set via the regulator, provided there is a safe and solid reaction point, the tool will turn the nut and stall once the target torque has been achieved.

These are the single speed tools within the RAD range. They are the standard tool, and the most commonly used. These tools compbine the speed of rattle guns with the controlled torque of hydraulic torque wrenches. These tools are the quietest, fastest and lightest tools in the field. They work using compressed air, which goes through a lubro regulator and then to the tool. These tools offer fast, controlled torque.
