Hire Torque Australia offer two different hydraulic pumps. The KLW4000A Electric pump which is 240 V over hydraulic, and the KLW4000N Air pump which is pneumatic over hydraulic. Both of these pumps run hydraulic tools from 140 – 55,000 FT LBS. The KLW 4000 series of pumps are unmatched for weight, speed, durability, size and price. These pumps work in 3 stages, for low, mid and high pressures, making them ideal for all tool sizes.
The newer models of these pumps have shown vast improvements from the earlier models. They have become extremely popular with all major manufacturers in the mining, power and petrochemical industries. Pumps are offered with heavy duty weather-proof containers and extra heavy duty roll cages optional.
Hydraulic wrench pumps are used with hydraulic torque wrenches. The pump is connected up to either 240V power or an air supply (depending on which pump you are using) and is then connected to a hydraulic torque wrench via a 4:1 twinline hose. Standard pumps are able to run two tools at once and with a 4 port manifold they can run up to 4 tools simultaneously.

240V Hydraulic Wrench Pump - Breakdown
1. Regulator
The regulator allows operator to set the pressure. Turning the relulator to the right will increase the pressure and turning it left decreases it. Pressure setting from 1,200 – 10,000 PSI can be achieved within two easy rotations.
5. Solonoid
Sometimes after advancing the pump and then turning it off, the guage may still show a small amount of pressure. By pressing the button on top on the solonoid, all pressure left in hoses will be relieved.
2. Couplers
All pumps come standard with 1/4″ bearing seated male and female couplers.
6. Oil Level Indicator
This is where oil level can be checked. Pumps should always be at least 3/4 full with grade 46 powerteam hydraulic oil.
3. Guage
All pumps come complete with a 4″ pressure guage. While the pump is in retract by default the guage will show 1,200 PSI, when the pump is advanced the pump will show whatever pressure the regulator is set at. All guages are pre calibrated with a + / – 3% consistency.
7. Oil Cooler
The oil cooling fan prevents oil from overheating, making these pumps ideal for long production, maintenence or shut down jobs.
4. Remote Control
Pumps are controlled through a remote control. The top button turns the pump on or off and the bottom button advances the pump. As soon as the advance button is released the pump will automatically retract.

3. Air Flow Lubricator/Water Trap Filter
All air pumps need a lubro. The lubro has 2 main jobs, it supplies a timed oil drop to the pump motor and it traps any water that may be in the line, stopping it getting through to the motor. This ensures the pumps lifespan and performance.
